Education Welfare Act 2000 – Under the terms of the Education (Welfare) act 2000 a school is obliged to report to the National Education Welfare Board every time a student has reached 20 days absence cumulatively. It is necessary for us to maintain a record of attendance for each child registered at the school.
The reasons for non-attendance must also be recorded. In this regard, if your child is absent or needs to leave early from school please ensure that you provide a note giving the reason.
